Funeral For George Dean Held May 26 At Cypress Creek

George W. Dean, 74, Calvin, passed away Tuesday at a local hospital.  Funeral
services were held Thursday afternoon, May 27, at 2:30 p.m. at the Cypress
Creek Baptist Church.  Interment was at the church cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Katie C. Dean, Calvin; six daughters, Mrs.
Florence Moore, Calvin, Mrs. Claude Howard, Bastrop, Mrs. Jess Rowe, Odessa,
Tex., Mrs. E. S. Rowtan (Roton, Roten?), San Angelo, Tex., Mrs. Elbert Jones,
Alabama, and Mrs. Dal Rowtan (?), Monroe; one son, C. C. Dean, Winnfield; one
sister, Mrs. Kelly Statan, Shreveport; one brother, J. D. Dean, Houma; 37
grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
