Mrs. Martha Dees, 82, Dies After Brief Illness

Mrs. Martha Dees, 82, of Dodson, died Tuesday, May 7, in a Winnfield hospital
after a brief illness.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Assembly of God Church
in Dodson with the Rev. W. C. Pardue, the Rev. Joel Upton, and the Rev. Earl
Townsend officiating.  Burial was in the Cypress Creek Cemetery under the
direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Survivors are two sons, Joe Dees of Dodson and James Dees of Jonesboro; five
daughters, Mrs. J. W. Walker, Mrs. J. F. Howell, Mrs. Shird Thompson, Mrs. G.
E. Jones, and Mrs. C. L. Heyse, all of Dodson; a sister, Mrs. Frances Miller
of Whitehouse, Texas; 32 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
