All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: January 8, 1975 Winn Parish Enterprise News-American Mrs. Minnie Deen Dies; Rites At Hargis Church Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hargis Baptist Church for Mrs. Minnie Deen, 86, of Montgomery, who died at 4:25 p.m. Monday, December 30, 1974 in Willis-Knighten Hospital following a brief illness. Officiating was the Rev. Roy Moore. Burial was in Hargis Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Mrs. Deen was a native of Atlanta and had lived most of her life in Montgomery. She was a member of the Hargis Baptist Church. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Box of Shreveport and Mrs. Lucille Smith of Malakoff, Tex.; three sons, Lee Deen of New Orleans, O. W. Deen of Shreveport, and Jesse Deen of Rocky Mount; two brothers, Will Durham of Shreveport and Ozro Durham of Montgomery; 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and a great great grandchild. Pallbearers were Mrs. Deen's grandsons.
