Brother Of W. P. Deen, Winnfield, Buried In Grant

Oliver Bertie Deen, 86, died at 2:30 p.m. Friday in an Alexandria hospital.    
He was a retired farmer of Dry Prong.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Benia Thames Deen; one son, R. L. Deen of Dry
Prong; two daughters, Mrs. R. L. Slayter of Dry Prong and Mrs. G. W. Bennett
of Lake Charles; one brother, W. F. Deen of Winnfield; 12 grandchildren and 16
great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Dry Prong Baptist Church,
with burial in the Liberty Chapel Cemetery.
