Wilton P. Deen, 96, Dies; Rites At Liberty Chapel

Funeral services for Wilton Prestridge Deen, 96, were held at 2 p.m. Friday in
Liberty Chapel at Williana with the Rev. W. R. Gage and Rev. Richard Walton
officiating.  Burial was in the Liberty Chapel Cemetery under the direction of
Southern Funeral Home.

Mr. Deen, a native of Grant Parish, and a lifelong member of the Liberty
Chapel Church, died Wednesday, April 12, 1967 in the home of his daughter,
Mrs. E. J. Buchanan.

Survivors are his son, J. M. Deen of Gulfport, Miss.; five daughters, Mrs. E.
H. Hyde, Mrs. E. G. Guilliams, both of Williana, Mrs. Julia Smith of
Pineville, Mrs. Maggie McBride of Jonesboro, and Mrs. E. J. Buchanan of
Winnfield; seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and three great-
great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Lonnie Deen, Eulos Deen, Lee Deen, Robert Slayter, Bob
Buchanan, Eugene Buchanan, Arnold Buchanan, and Ivy Nugent.
