Night Youth Accidentally Shoots Self While Cleaning or Moving Gun Saturday Night Funeral services for Raymond DeLoach, 15 year old son of Mrs. M. E. DeLoach, who accidentally shot himself Saturday night at his home here, were held at the First Methodist Church Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock. The Rev. Alwin Stokes, assisted by the Rev. Cullen and the Rev. Wier, had charge of the services. Interment was in the Winnfield Cemetery. The accident occurred about 9 o'clock when the youth arrived home and retired to his room. It is supposed that he was either cleaning the gun in preparation for the coming hunting season or else moving it to another location in his room. The deceased was a high school student and had a host of friends in this section having lived in Winnfield all his life, and his tragic ending is widely mourned. His is survived by his mother, two brothers, Grisham DeLoach of Winnfield and Wilbur DeLoach who is in the navy, four sisters, Miss Lula DeLoach of Winnfield, Mrs. Blanche Crowe of El Dorado, Ark., Mrs. Lela White of Memphis and Miss Jennie Mae DeLoach of Memphis.
