Winnfield Negro Man Drowns In Saline Bayou

A 37 year old Negro quarry worker drowned in Saline Bayou near Goldonna during
a Fourth of July outing and was the only Winn area holiday tragedy.

He was identified as Richard DeLoach, who lives in McDonald Bottom, Winnfield. 
DeLoach was with a group, including his family, at the bayou and was on the
Natchitoches Parish side of the stream.

His body was brought to Johnson Funeral Home in Winnfield where arrangements
for the service will be made.
