All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: July 19, 1972 Winn Parish Enterprise News-American Last Rites Held For "Blackie" DeLoach, July 14 Wilbur Francis "Blackie" DeLoach, 70, a resident of Pineville, and formerly of Winnfield, died in the Veterans Hospital, Alexandria, July 11, 1972. Funeral services were conducted Friday, July 14, in Kramer's Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Richard Hoffpauir officiating. Burial was in the Greenwood Memorial Park. Blackie lived in Winnfield during the early part of his life, attended school and graduated from Winnfield High School. He was a member of the football team coached by Rev. Alwin Stokes. Following graduation from high school he spent 28 years in the Navy, and after retiring, served 17 years with the Alexandria postal service. Surviving are his wife, and one brother, Grisham DeLoach, both of Pineville; and one sister, Mrs. Blanche Hawk of Sarasota, Florida.
