Accident Takes Life Of Walter L. Dement Friday

Walter Lee Dement, 36, of Houston died suddenly Friday March 25, 1966 in an
accident when the platform of the oil rig on which he was working collapsed
and fell on him.

Mr. Dement was a native of Montgomery, La.

Funeral services were held in the Northside Baptist Church in Montgomery at 3
p.m. Monday.  Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Montgomery.

Survivors are his widow; one stepson, Paul Charles Weathers of Fort Worth,
Tex.; his mother, Mrs. Lillie Plunkett Dement of Montgomery; two brothers,
George Dement of Houma and Joe Dement of Montgomery; two sisters, Mrs. Opal
Pinder and Mrs. Lizzie Hernandez, both of Montgomery.
