A. Dean, 83, who died in a local hospital March 6 after a long illness, were held Saturday, March 8, at 10:30 a.m. at the Southern Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating were Rev. R. C. Ayres of Shreveport, Rev. C. C. Martin of Laurel Heights, and Rev. W. R. Gage of the First Presbyterian Church. Burial was in the Zion Hill Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Acting as pallbearers were D. M. Howell, Sr., E. T. Gunter, George Robinson, Homer Jordan, T. Palmer, and Cecil Haynes. A native of Arkansas, the deceased was the former Miss Georgia Abigail Renfroe. She had been a resident of Winn Parish for 30 some odd years, most of which time had been spent in Winnfield. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Surviving are her husband, A. T. Dean, and two daughters, Mrs. C. B. King and Mrs. H. C. Cox, all of Winnfield; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren; one brother, W. Z. Renfroe of El Dorado, Ark.; three sisters, Mrs. Lena Kinard and Mrs. Betty Kennedy of El Dorado, and Mrs. Nettie Haynes of Crossett, Ark.
