He was a native of Natchitoches and a resident there. He was a retired minister and a retired game warden. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Louella Desadier of Natchitoches; three sons, Henry Desadier and O. C. Desadier, both of Natchitoches and Otis Desadier of Cloutierville; four daughters, Mrs. Mildred Fedrick, Mrs. Ola Mae Collum, both of Natchitoches, Mrs. Mabel Driskill, Mrs. Hazel Barnette, both of Goldonna; a brother, Noah Desadier of Natchitoches; two half-brothers, Walter Carter of Clarence and Jimmy Carter of Campti; a sister, Mrs. Josephine Cox of Baton Rouge; a half-sister, Mrs. Emma Desadier of Natchitoches; 22 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Christian Harmony Baptist Church near Clarence, with Revs. Willie Broadway, Virgil Tingle, and Buck Hawthorne officiating. Burial was in St. Maurice Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Winnfield.
