Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia S. Desadier, 57, of Algiers, were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Maurice Methodist Church with the Rev. Paul V. Hunt officiating. Burial was in St. Maurice Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Mrs. Desadier died Monday, October 30, 1972 at E. A. Conway Memorial Hospital in Monroe after a short illness. She was a native of Natchitoches Parish, was a practical nurse, and member of the Assembly of God Church. Survivors include two sons, Terry Desadier of Algiers and Lynwood Buster Desadier of Marrero; two daughters, Mrs. Deloy Shows of Winnfield and Mrs. Barry Johnson of Monroe; three brothers, Adolph Desadier, Glen Desadier, and Cecil Desadier, all of Winnfield; six sisters, Mrs. Florence Rowell of Calhoun, Mrs. Lucille Nealy of Campti, Mrs. Mary Doyal of St. Maurice, Miss Sadie Desadier, Mrs. Adline Rhymes, and Mrs. Betty Shows, all of Winnfield; and 13 grandchildren.
