Mrs. Nancy Jane Haddox Devore Buried at Curry

Last rites for Mrs. Nancy Jane Haddox Devore, 72 years of age, who died at the
home of Joe Jordan in the Pleasant Hill Community, Sunday night, were held at
Guin Cemetery near Curry Monday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock with the Rev. J. A.
Cockerham officiating.

Mrs. Devore was preceded in death by her husband by nine years.  She had been
a member of the Missionary Baptist Church since the age of 14 and her
membership at her death was at Urania, where she had resided with her sister,
Mrs. Francis Jamerson.

Surviving are two sister, Mrs. Ella Stringer of Chatham and Mrs. Francis
Jamerson of Urania; and two nieces, Mrs. J. H. Jordan and Mrs. Ervin Jordan of
Jordan Hill.
