A. Dickerson, Winn Native, Dies June 17

Funeral services for Arthur Monroe Dickerson, 73, of Shreveport, were held at
4 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home here with the Rev.
Charles Haley officating.  Burial was in Winnfield Cemetery.

A native of Winn Parish, Mr. Dickerson was a member of the Baptist Church.

Mr. Dickerson died Saturday evening, June 17, 1972 at a Winnfield nursing home
after a long illness.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Susan A. Dickerson of Winnfield; four sons,
Arthur Allen Dickerson of Pineland, Texas, Kenneth Dickerson, Brian M.
Dickerson, both of Shreveport, and Charles E. Dickerson of Clinton, Miss.;
five daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Fory, Mrs. Betty McCann, both of Shreveport,
Mrs. Maxine Hayes of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Wanda Rosenke of Waukegan, Ill., and
Miss Ruth Dickerson of Winnfield; one brother, Huron Dickerson, and one
sister, Mrs. Lois Fowler, both of Shreveport; 17 grandchildren and a numeber
of great grandchildren.
