DICKERSON DIES IN NEW ORLEANS JULY 10 John Wesley Dickerson, 78, native of Winn parish, died at the home of his daughtes, Mrs. Melba Seramur and Mrs. Audria Porter, in New Orleans Wednesday, July 10, 1946, following a long illness. Funeral services will be held at the Jerusalem church near Winnfield some time Friday afternoon. The Revs. Alwin Stokes and Rev. Fred Flurry will be in charge. Before he retired many years ago because of heart trouble, Mr. Dickerson was engaged in farming and the transfer business. He was a member of the First Methodist Church, Winnfield. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Melba Seramur and Mrs. Audria Porter, New Orleans; Mrs. Sam Parker, Shreveport; four sons, Cedric and Olan, Winnfield; Alvin of New Orleans and Orville of Alabama. He also leaves one brother, Jim F. Dickerson of Rout 1, Winnfield; two sisters, Mrs. W.H. Williams, Winnfield, and Mrs. Mose Jennings, Montgomery.
