All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: July 9, 1964 Winn Parish Enterprise News-American Brother Of Winn Residents Dies; Burial July 7 Funeral services for Lonnie Dick, 70, a native of Winn Parish who died Sunday, July 5 at his home in Smackover, Ark., after a lengthy illness, were held Tuesday. The rites were held at 2 p.m. in the Sardis Baptist Church, Winn Parish, with the Rev. Henry Mott and Rev. E. B. Barton officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Mr. Dick had lived in Smackover for the past 30 years. He was a retired oil field driller, a member of the Baptist Church, and a Veteran of World War I. Survivors include his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Paul McCarver of Rio Grand City, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. Edd Collins, Atlanta, Mrs. Marshall Driggers, Winnfield, and Mrs. Bessie Gainey, Jena; three brothers, Bill Dick, Dodson, Neal Dick, New Orleans, and Frank Dick, Atlanta, and three grandchildren.
