All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: August 27, 1970 Winn Parish Enterprise News-American Negro Killed Wednesday In Industrial Accident A 60 year old Negro man identified as Robert Dickerson of the L & A Quarters died Wednesday morning from injuries received when he backed into a kiln fan at the Olinkraft plant in Winnfield. Dickerson was employed by Frazier Machine & Supply Co. for the past two years as a helper. He was working on a project for Frazier at Olinkraft at the time of the accident, set about 7:15 a.m. Wednesday. He was taken to Winnfield General Hospital in critical condition at 7:45 a.m. and died shortly after arrival, according to a hospital spokesman. The body was taken to Ben Johnson Funeral Home in Winnfield where arrangemetns are incomplete. Burial will be in Chatham. Survivors include his wife; a son, Claude Dickerson, Winnfield; a stepson, Sam Willis Branch, Jonesville; three brothers and three sisters.
