Dickerson Succumbs Here Monday Oct. 20 Burial Was Made Tuesday at Jerusalem Cemetery Mrs. J. F. Dickerson, 65 years, 5 months, and 4 days of age, died at a Winnfield clinic Monday, October 20. She had been in ill health for a number of years. Funeral services were held at the Jerusalem Church, Tuesday afternoon, with the Rev. Alwin Stokes, the Rev. J. F. Keyes, and the Rev. H. H. McBride, officiating. Interment was in the Jerusalem Cemetery. Acting as pallbearers were Horace Chandler, E. B. Barton, Jr., Walker Sillman, S. J. Lolan, Aubrey Porter, and Clarence Price. Born in Waxahachie, Texas, May 16, 1877, the daughter of King and Lydia Sherwood, Mrs. Dickerson moved to Louisiana when only three years of age. She joined the Baptist Church in her girlhood and on December 23. 1896, was married to J. F. Dickerson of Winnfield. She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. F. M. Porter and Mrs. Frank Killingsworth of Baton Rouge; three sons, Otis, Lester, and Gordon, of Winnfield; one sister, Mrs. E. M. Anders of Tioga; and two brothers, W. D. Sherwood and S. F. Sherwood, of Winnfield. Seven grandchildren also survive.
