G. Dixon, 53, of Montgomery Mars Hill Native Dies At Home After Lengthy Illness Funeral services were held at Mars Hill at 2:30 p.m. last Friday, Oct. 1, for Henry G. Dixon, 53, of Montgomery, who died at his home at 3:10 a.m. Sept. 30 following a long illness. Rites were conducted by the Rev. R. N. Myers of the Montgomery Baptist Church and the Rev. M. B. Adkins of the Dry Prong Baptist Church, and interment was in the Mars Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers included Malcolm Dixon and Harris Dixon of Montgomery, Lloyd Dixon, Wilmer Dixon, and John W. Terrill, Jr., of Orange, Texas, and Bill Keiffer, Memphis, Tenn., all nephews of the deceased. The deceased was born in the Wheeling Community in Winn Parish, November 29, 1895, the son of W. G. Dixon and the late Mrs. Dixon. He was married on July 3, 1916, at Verda, to Loney Terrill. In addition to his widow and his father, he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. T. J. Jackson of Montgomery, Mrs. L. B. Bell of Monroe, Mrs. Carl Everett of Beaumont, Texas, and Mrs. Arnon Jackson of Montgomery; three brothers, C. L. Dixon of Montgomery, O. H. Dixon of Montgomery, and Tommy Dixon of High Point, North Carolina; a sister, Mrs. J. P. McLaren of Montgomery and five grandhchildren. The deceased was a member of Montgomery Baptist Church.
