Dixon, a former citizen of Rapides Parish, age 70 years and 14 days. He leaves a wife and eleven children, five sons and six daughters, besides many friends to mourn his loss. He was reared in Alabama and came to Louisiana in the early 1850's. He was a member of the Methodist Church for many years and a faithful Christian and made many friends wherever he went.
