H. Dixon Held At Mt. Zion Oscar H. Dixon, 69, of Pineville, died at 4:50 p.m. May 22, 1970, in an Alexandria hospital after a long illness. He was a member of Wardville Baptist Church and the Winnfield Masonic Lodge. He was a retired employee of the Central Louisiana State Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Iva Walker Dixon of Pineville; two sons, Harris Dixon and Malcolm Dixon, both of Pineville; a brother, Tommy Strickland of North Carolina; a sister, Mrs. Pugh McLaren of Wheeling community near Montgomery, and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Zion Methodist Church with Rev. Robert Galloway officiating. Masonic graveside services were conducted with burial in the church cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
