Dickerson Buried At Jerusalem Cemetery January 31 Funeral services for William L. Dickerson, 74, of Gas Center, near Shreveport, who died at his home at 9 a.m. Wednesday, were held at the family residence Thursday at 10 a.m., the Rev. C. W. Culp of the Queensborough Baptist Church officiating. The body was brought to Winnfield following services and interment was made in the Jerusalem Cemetery at 2 p.m., January 31, 1935. Mr. Dickerson was a native of Winn Parish. He was married to Miss Vernona Sherwood January 2, 1890 in the Sardis Community. He left Winn Parish about 35 years ago and became engaged in the oil and gas business. Surviving are the widow, two daughters, Miss Audette Dickerson and Mrs. R. O. Byrne of Shreveport; three sons, C. P. Dickerson, W. F. Dickerson, and B. O. Dickerson, all of Shreveport; four brothers, J. W., J. F., H. L., and E. J. Dickerson, all of Winnfield; and two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Williams, Winnfield, and Mrs. B. Jennings, Montgomery, La. Mr. Dickerson had been a resident of Gas Center for the past ten years.
