Doremire Services for Leonard J. Doremire, 47, of Dodson were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Southern Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Johnny Newton and Lewis B. Williams officiating. Graveside services were held at Sardis conducted by the United States Air Force Honor Guard from England Air Force Base, Alexandria, La. and Masonic rites led by Mr. Eugene F. Love of Eastern Star Lodge No. 151, F. & A. M., Winnfield. Mr. Doremire died Wednesday, November 5, 1980 in Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport after a short illness. Mr. Doremire served for 21 years in the U. S. Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. A Mason since 1958, he was a member of Joppa Lodge No. 362, Shreveport. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Olivia Mathews Doremire of Dodson; a son, Alvin Dickerson of Soldotna, Alaska; six daughters, Mrs. Linda Shagun of Bossier City, Mrs. Annette Youngblood of Anchorage, Alaska, Mrs. Donna Deters and Wanda Doremire, both of Princeton, Mrs. Pamela Blake of Homer and Susan Doremire of Dodson; his mother, Mrs. L. J. Doremire of Fort Worth, Texas; a brother, David Doremire of Spokane, Wash.; five sisters, Mrs. Betty Slagstad of Florida, Mrs. Dorothy Stroch of Rapid River, mich., Mrs. Kay Boudreaux of Gladston, Mich., Mrs. Nancy Porath of Wells, Mich., and Mrs. Jan Hodges of Fort Worth, Texas; and eight grandchildren.
