Paul Downs, 48, Buried At Mt. Zion Cemetery

Paul Downs, 48, of Montgomery, died Friday in an Alexandria hospital after a
long illness with cancer.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Mt. Zion Methodist Church
with Rev. Charles Scott officiating.  Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Clint Downs and a daughter, Rosemary Downs,
both of Montgomery; two brothers, Ira N. Downs of Montgomery and Jesse Downs
of Pasadena, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Oleta Hale of Montgomery and Mrs. Vanila
Neal of Dry Prong.

Pallbearers were Richard Powell, Owen Gentry, R. L. Wilson, Kent Wardlow,
Herman Worsham, and James Murphy.
