Final Rites For Mrs. Dowty Held At Mt. Zion Nov. 14

Mrs. Helen P. Dowty, 93, native of Winn, died at her home in Montgomery, Nov.
12, 1961.  She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Williams of
Winn Parish.

Last rites were conducted at the First Baptist Church, Montgomery, at 11 a.m.
Nov. 14, with the pastor, Rev. Marvin Doolittle officiating.  Burial was in
the Mt. Zion Cemetery under direction of Hixson Bros., Winnfield.

Acting as pallbearers were Thomas J. Harrison, Willie Payne Harrison, Donald
Harrison, Richard Blackman, Bernard Harrison, and J. D. Williams.

Survivors include one son, W. R. Dowty, Montgomery; four daughters, Mrs. Payne
Harrison, Montgomery, Mrs. Guy Barr, Sterlington, Mrs. Roy Jones, Alexandria,
and Mrs. Harvey Beauchamp, Shreveport; one sister, Mrs. Emma Bates, Baton
Rouge; ten grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
