S. Navy, Killed at Norfolk, Va. Funeral services for Ensign Connie Mack Doxey, 26, a former teacher in the Atlanta School, will be held at Mt. Zion Cemetery today. Ensign Doxey was instantly killed last Saturday when his plane failed to come out of a dive while he was practicing a bombing routine at Norfolk, Va., naval base. At the time of his death he was serving with the seventy-second fighting squadron. He was graduated from Louisiana State Normal in the spring of 1939 and enrolled in the flying school at Jacksonville, Fla., in November 1940 and received his wings in September of this year. Surviving him are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Doxey, Montgomery, five brothers, J. R. Doxey, Bossier City, E. M. Doxey, Natchitoches, Ernest Doxey, Longview, Tex., K. C. Doxey, Houston, Texas, and Willie L. Doxey, Baton Rouge; three sisters, Mrs. D. F. Carter, Shreveport, Mrs. E. N. Faust, and Mrs. C. P. West, both of Dallas, Texas.
