William J.DREWETT-AT the Baptist Hospital, Alexandria, La., at 4:45
o'clock a. m., on Friday, December 21, 1923, William J. Drewett, aged 7O
years. He was born near Toomsuba, Miss., but moved to Winn parish, La, when a
small boy. He resided in Winn for many years, but later removed to Grant
parish, where he resided.

He married Miss Mary L. Dean, who died July 29, 1907. Since the death
of his wife, he has resided with his children spending his time with
each of them. He leaves nine children, as follows:. J. E. Drewett,
Foster Drewett, Mrs, Zella Baker, of Los, Angeles, Mrs. Daisy Drewett,
of New York City; Mrs. R. L. Carnahan, Mrs. R, L. Duncan, of Colfax;
Mrs. Bell Arbuthnot, Mrs. Bessie Richley, of Orlando, Fla., and Mrs. A.
J. Buckner, of Alexandria,. He also leaves one brother, Henry Drewett.
His body was prepared by Hixson Bros., and his funeral will take place
Sunday, December 23. Interment will be made at Mars Hill cemetery. Winn
parish, by the side of his wife. The funeral will be delayed, awaiting
the arrival of his children.
