Harold Drewett

   Funeral services for Harold Drewett, 59, of Alexandria, were held at
11 a.m. Thursday in Southern Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Fitzgerald
officiating.
   Interment was in the Winnfield cemetery.
   A native of Winn Parish, Mr. Drewett was the son of the late Mr. and
Mrs. W. U. Drewett, prominent Winnfield residents.
   Survivors include a son, Michael Drewett of Pensacola Beach, Florida,
a brother, Howard Drewett of Winnfield, and an aunt, Mrs. Lessie Row,
also of Winnfield.

(Note: Harold Winfold Drewett, my father, was born September 22, 1919,
and died on January 23, 1979. Around 1937, and as a teenager, he married
Brooksie Fuller, a marriage soon annulled. During WWII, he served in
England, Normandy, Northern France, and Germany. In 1946, he married my
mother, Nola E. Burnett of Gaars Mill, from whom he was later divorced.)
