Drewett, Jr., Succumbs: Rites Held Sunday A. T. Drewett., 58, died Friday, February 14, 1969 in a Winnfield Hospital after a long illness. Mr. Drewett was a graduate of Winnfield High School where he was a star in football and track from 1926 to 1929. He was owner and operator before retirement of Mobil Service Station and was a member of the Winnfield Baptist church. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield with the Rev. Thomas W. Cox officiating, assisted by the Rev. W. R. Gage. Burial was in the Winnfield City Cemetery. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Ruth Perdue Drewett; his mother, Mrs. A. T. Drewett Sr. of Winnfield; one brother, Colvin Drewett of Ruston; two sisters, Mrs. W. E. LaCroix of Winnfield, and Mrs. J. H. Johnson of Ventura, Calif. Pallbearers were Roscoe Bice, Russell Terry, Harper Terrill, Don Thompson, Don Walsh, Glen Futch, John G. Jackson, Tommy Bankston.
