T. Drewett, Sr., 82, Succumbs; Rites Thursday Mrs. Effie Colvin Drewett, 82, of Winnfield, died at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, 1969 in a local nursing home after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Drewett was the widow of the late A. T. Drewett, Sr., prominent Winnfield business man, and member of the parish governing body. She was a native of Unionville and a member of the First Baptist church. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Cox and Rev. W. R. Gage officiating. Interment will be in Winnfield Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home. Survivors include one son, Colvin Drewett of Ruston, two daughters, Mrs. W. E. LaCroix of Winnfield and Mrs. J. H. Johnson of Ventura, California, two sisters, Mrs. Johnny LeFleur of Ville Platte and Mrs. Rossie Bozeman of El Paso, Texas, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be James Mallard, Elmo Frazier, Sr., James Watts, Don Walsh, C. D. Moss, Reggie Gates, I. B. LaCroix, and Troy Smith, Sr. (NOTE: Mrs. Drewett's birth name was Ethel Pauline Colvin, and was known as Effie.)
