Mr. Drewett was a nephew of Mr. and Mrs. W. U. Drewett of Winnfield. He was working in a service station as a night attendant early Monday, when he was assaulted and robbed of $100 which was in the cash register. He received a fractured skull when the thief struck him twice on the back and side of the head. He was found slumped unconscious and bleeding when a truck driver stopped for gasoline at 3:30 a.m. He died at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday in Charity Hospital, Alexandria. A suspect, a 17 year old Negro, has been arrested in connection with the killing, it was learned today.
