Sister of Miss Myrtle Calhoun To Be Buried Fri.

Mrs. Theresa Calhoun Duke, 59, of Colfax, member of a pioneer Central
Louisiana family, died in an Alexandria hospital at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday
following a long illness.

Mrs. Duke was the daughter of the late Susie Walters and John C. Calhoun, long
time residents of Winnfield.

She is survived by her husband, Paul A. Duke, Colfax; a daughter, Mrs. Helen
D. Faircloth, Colfax; one brother, Teal C. Calhoun, Shreveport; three sisters,
Miss Myrtle Calhoun, Winnfield, Mrs. Mildred Posey, Olla, and Mrs. Joy Nelson,
Jena; and four grandchildren.

Mrs. Duke's body will lie in state at Hixson Bros. Funeral Home, Alexandria. 
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Mars Hill Cemetery,
located between Montgomery and Verda.
