Zion For C. C. Dunn, 28 Was Instantly Killed As His Truck Wrecked Near Colfax C. C. Dunn, 28, of Montgomery, La., was instantly killed Sunday morning when a half-ton truck he was driving left the road on a curve a mile north of Colfax. A fractured skull is said to have caused his death. One of the negro women passengers in the truck with Dunn was seriously injured in the accident while the other was uninjured. The truck left the road, turning over three times, careening through a ditch and finally resting against a rise in the shoulder of the road. Dunn was thrown clear of the truck and his head was smashed when it hit the road. Dunn was an employee of the Economy Cash Store at Montgomery and had visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Dunn at Pineville Sunday and was returning to Montgomery when the accident occurred. He is survived by his parents, three brothers, Marion and Woodrow Dunn, Pineville and Mercer Dunn of Montgomery; five sisters, Mrs. N. L. Norman, Colfax; Misses Francis, Arnetta, Oredia, an Doris Dunn of Pineville. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at Mount Zion, Winn Parish.
