C. and M. B. Dunn. Ah, little darling, it was hard to give you up. You, around whose heart so many tendrils of affection clung; you who was the joy of life, the sunshine of the household, the sweet child, so loving and affectionate, possessed of so many qualities that made you loveable. Poor Papa sighs for his pet now, and while I pen these lines my eyes are blinded. Oh! how my heart throbs when I recallhow you came to me so often, loving and gentle, begging me and offering a kiss for pay, to carry you out and let you see the birds and hear them sing, and find wild flowers. Young as you were 'twas your delight - Heavenly taste! Death opens to us the hearts of friends in sympathy. How eager the precious one was to go to Sunday School each Sabbath morning; and now, oh! precious thought, we shall meet her in Heaven. God bless the precious darling! Good Bye.
