M. Funeral services for Mrs. John P. Durham, wife of the Rev. John P. Durham of Shreveport, who died in that city Wednesday, April 4, will be held at the Ingleside Baptist Church, Shreveport, at 10 a.m. Friday, April 6. Burial will follow in the Winnfield Cemetery under direction of Hixon Brothers. Graveside services will be conducted here at about 1:30 p.m. Mrs. Durham is the former Miss Minnie Reese Estes, of Keatchie, La., and was married to Rev. Durham Jan. 9, 1898. They lived in Winnfield until 1909, and have numerous relatives and friends in this area. Recently Rev. Durham has had published a biography of his father, "James Lucius Durham, Hero to All His Children", which includes mention of many Winn Parish families. The deceases is survived by her husband, Rev. John P. Durham, 91 years old, of Shreveport; six sons, Gordon of Seattle, Wash., Dr. Kenneth R., of Takoka, Texas, F. M. of Monroe, Grady and J. P., Jr., of New Orleans, and James H. Durham of Oklahoma City; and one daughter, Mrs. L. L. McKeehan, of Fayetteville, Ark.
