Durham Buried Here Funeral services for Joel M. Durham, prominent attorney of Rayville, La., who died at the Schumpert Sanitarium Tuesday morning after a long illness, was held here yesterday afternoon from the home of his mother, Mrs. J. L. Durham. Mr. Durham was born on November 25, 1878. He was educated in the public schools of this parish and later was graduated from the law department of Tulane University. His first law officer were opened in Colfax, La., but later moved to Winnfield where he practiced law until he moved to Rayville six years ago. He had been a member of the Colfax Masonic Lodge for the last 15 years and a leader in the Baptist Church. In 1912, Mr. Durham was married to Miss Ella Brandon of Natchitoches. He is survived by his wife and two small daughters, Elizabeth and Ruth Ansell; his mother, three brothers, Dr. S. L. Durham, Dearborn, Mo., Dr. J. P. Durham, Baptist minister of Springhill, La., and G. M. Durham, Winnsboro, La., and three sisters, Mrs. Gilbert and Mrs. Latham, of this city, and another sister who lives in St. Louis.
