Durham Dies Sunday, Dec. 13, Union Springs, Ala. The death of Mrs. J. T. Durham, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. B. B. Long, in Union Springs, Ala., Sunday morning, brought sincere grief to her Winnfield relatives and many former friends she made during her residence here several years ago. The deceased, aged 63, a native of Selma, Ala., moved to Montgomery with her parents, Rev. and Mrs. J. S. Payne, when quite young, and in 1891 she was married to J. T. Durham of Atlanta, moving from that place to Winnfield to Winnfield, where they resided until Mr. Durham's death seven years ago. Mrs. Durham was converted at the age of fifteen and baptized by her father into the fellowship of the Union Hill Baptist Church near Montgomery. At the time fo her death her membershipo was with the Winnfield Baptist Church, of which she was a faithful and consecrated member. Funeral services were conducted here at the Baptist Church, Monday afternoon, by the pastor, Rev. A. H. Cullen, with interment being made in the Winnfield Cemetery. Surviving her are three sons, Dr. C. I. Durham of Selma, La., E. G. Durham of Winnfield, Truett Durham of Russellville, Ark., and one daughter, Mrs. B. B. Long of Union Springs, Ala.; five brothers, J. J. Payne of Albuquerque, N. M., C. W. Payne of LeCompte, J. L. Payne of Urania, O. U. Payne of Pineville, and J. R. Payne of Pollock, and five sisters, Mrs. S. E. Richardson, Shreveport, Mrs. G. W. Durham, Ruston, Mrs. J. E. Wallace, Verda, and Mrs. H. H. Bazwell, DeRidder.
