J. EBEN DREWETT DIES IN CALIFORNIA

   Relatives here were notified of the death of J. Eben Drewett of
Downey, Calif., Saturday, March 5. Mr. and Mrs. Drewett, natives of
central Louisiana, were former residents of Winnfield. Mrs. Drewett, the
former Esma Collins, is the daughter of Mrs. J. W. Collins of
Montgomery. The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday of last week at
Downey.

(NOTE: James Eben Drewett was the son of William J. Drewett and Mary
Louise Dean. He was the grandson of Winn Parish Civil War veteran     
Wm. H. Drewett.)
