REPORT ON OBITUARIES We, your committee on obituaries report as follows: We find that two deaths have occurred among our Deacons. Bro. A.G. Dunn was born in Caldwell Parish, Jan. 3rd, 1864, and at the age of 16 he joined the Missionary Baptist Church, and was baptised by immersion -- he lived a consistent member of the church until the Lord called him home. Bro. T.M. Riser was born in Union Parish, Jan. 4, 1865, and at the age of 16 he joined Hebron Baptist Church and was baptised by immersion. He lived a christian life until the Lord called him to his long home. The ordinations to the Deaconship of Liberty Church was called for, and as heretofore set forth, they have always done their duty in serving the Lord and Brethren in any way they could. The church called a presbytery consisting of Elders C.B. Gates and M.E. Kirkland, and according to the apostolic times and doctrine, the hands of ordination was laid on them in the spring of 1902, in which capacity they served until their death. Bro. Riser died Dec. 2, 1905, and Bro. Dunn died Oct. 25, 1905. They both lived a christian life for 25 years. They never expressed any desire to turn back, but endured all things for the Lord. They were devoted christians and a great pleasure and comfort to their families, church, pastor and community. The church in their deaths sustained a great loss. Respectfully submitted, N.G.W. Adams, Chairman C.B. Gates S.R. Newsom
