Durham Dies After Short Illness Walter Glynn Durham, 44, of Winnfield, died at 12:45 a.m. Thursday, January 17, 1974 in a Shreveport hospital after a short illness. He was an accountant. Durham made his home on Saline Lake and he was an active hunting and fishing guide handling parties here and throughout the country. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the Natchitoches Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Betty Durham of Winnfield; three sons, M. Glynn Durham of Vineland, N. J., James Durham and Ray Durham, both of Winnfield; three daughters, Mrs. Michael Anderson of Bossier City, La., Mrs. Ronnie Taylor and Miss Anna Durham, both of Winnfield; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence N. Durham of Winnfield; a brother, Nathan Durham of Pasadena, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Tucker of Winnfield; his maternal grandfather, Nathan T. Crocker of Homer, and one grandson. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home with Dan Manuel and Ross Swindler officiating. Burial was in Sardis Cemetery near Atlanta. Pallbearers were Joe Johnson, Glynn Bienvenu, Ernest Davis, John Motter, Brodie Tanner, and Tom Harris.
