Etheridge, 42, died in a hospital here Monday night after a four month illness. A native of Texas, Mr. Etheridge worked as a timber and piling buyer for the American Creosote Works from the middle 1940s until 1956 at which time he was employed in Bryceland as a piling buyer. In 1958 he became a pulpwood contractor for Tremont Lumber Company. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Bonner, Jr., and Kerry; one daughter, Denise, of Winnfield; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Etheridge, Sr., of Winnfield; two sisters, Mrs. Zeak Purcell, Houston, Tex., Mrs. Dorothy Williams, Fort Worth, Tex.; two brothers, Bennie Etheridge, Boulder, Colo., and John B. Etheridge, Jr., Beaumont, Tex. Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Southern Funeral Chapel and burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The Rev. W. L. Holcomb conducted the services. J. F. Lovell, Jr., Zeak Purcell, Willard Harlan, Jimmy Richardson, Glynn Guin, and Elmer Marcelles served as pallbearers.
