All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Karey Lynn Eagles, Obit March 3, 1960, Winn Parish Enterprise Final Rites For Karey Lynn Eagles Held February 27 Funeral services were held Saturday, February 27, 1960, at 3 p.m. for Karey Lynn Eagles, 17, who died Thursday night of last week in Shreveport. Last rites were conducted at the East Winnfield Baptist Church with a pastor from Franklinton Baptist Church, assisted by Rev. D. W. McDaniel of Winnfield, in charge. Burial was in Gorham cemetery under direction of Hixson Bros. of Winnfield. A native of Winnfield and a member of the East Winnfield Baptist Church, Eagles was staying with an aunt, Mrs. Mattie Lou Farmer, in Shreveport at the time of his long illness. He underwent surgery for a heart condition last September in New Orleans. Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. G.P. Eagles of Franklinton, La., one brother, Edward Eagles; his grandfather, George Eagles, of Winnfield; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Pallbearers were Jack Gorham, Willie Sayes, Fountroy Sanders, Jack Farmer, C.E. Gorham, Elton Sanders, all cousins of the deceased. Honorary pallbearers were A. L. Williams, Henry Patterson, B. M.
