George Eagles

George P. Eagles, 68, of Joyce, died at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 1978 in
Veterans Administration Hospital, Shreveport.

He was an employee of Louisiana Department of Highways, a World War II
veteran, a member of the East Winnfield Baptist Church, a Mason, and a
Shriner.

Survivors include his wife, Pearl G. Eagles of Joyce; one son, Edward Eagles
of Joyce; one sister, Mrs. M. L. Farmer of Shreveport; and one granddaughter.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Southern, Winnfield,
with the Rev. John C. Moore officiating.  Burial was in the Gorhamtown
Cemetery.
