All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** (From the August 11, 1942, Winn Parish Enterprise) Last Rites For Mrs. Harry Eagles Held Saturday Funeral services for Mrs. Angeline Foster Eagles were held at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Scott, on South street here last Saturday at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. H.B. Hysell officiating. Burial was made in the local cemetery. Mrs. Eagles died Friday, August 7, 1942, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Pat Sullivan, in Alexandria. Born at Atlanta, she was a member of one of Winn parish's oldest families. She embraced the Methodist faith early in life and was 75 years, 4 months and 17 days old at the time of her death. She was the widow of the late Harry Eagles. Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. B.H. Killen, and Mrs. W.H. Scott, Winnfield; Mrs. C.S. Jones of Longview, Washington, and Mrs. Pat Sullivan of Alexandria; two sons, Ray Eagles, and Walter Eagles of Winnfield; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
