All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** (From the December 11, 1969, Winn Parish Enterprise) Murphy Eagles Succumbs After Lengthy Illness Murphy Lee Eagles, 52, died Thursday December 4, 1969; in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Shreveport after a lengthy illness. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Lakeside Baptist Church near Winnfield. Funeral services were held Saturday at 10 a.m. in Southern Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy Moore officiating. Burial was in the Winnfield City Cemetery. Survivors include three brothers, James Eagles of Illinois, Edward Eagles of Doyline and Charles Eagles of Winnfield; two sisters, Mrs. J. O. Wilson of Winnfield and Mrs. G. W.
