G. Eagles Dies In Hospital At Shreveport Former Resident of Winnfield Active In O. E. S. Mrs. Lillian Hearne Eagles, wife of Earl G. Eagles, both former residents of Winnfield, died at a Shreveport sanitarium Wednesday, November 22, following an illness of about two months. Funeral services were held Friday morning of last week and interment was in Forest Park Cemetery, Shreveport, with the Rev. E. L. Stagg, pastor of the Bossier City Baptist Church, officiating. Mrs. Eagles, the former Miss Lillian Hearne, before and at the time of her marriage to Earl G. Eagles, resided in Winnfield with her parents. About twenty years ago she with her husband moved to Shreveport where they have made their home. She was prominent in Eastern Star circles of her home and city, and of the entire state, and which organization conducted the final rites at the grave with officials of the Cedar Grove Chapter No. 135 in charge. At the time of her death she was Past Matron and Secretary of the Cedar Grove Chapter and also Past Matron of the Louisiana Relief Chapter of the O. E. S. Surviving are her husband, Earl G. Eagles, Bossier City, a daughter, Mrs. J. A. Lindecker, also of Bossier City; her mother, Mrs. S. W. Hearne of Dallas, Texas; three brothers, Alva C. Hearne of Washington, D. C., W. V. Hearne, Dallas, Texas, and Carl Hearne of Philadelphia, Pa.; two sisters, Mrs. B. H. Riddle, Dallas, Texas and Mrs. E. P. Easterwood, Paris, Texas. Attending the funeral from here were Mr. and Mrs. Guy C. Johnson and Mrs. and Mrs. W. M. Grigsby.
