Mrs. Ray Eagles, 74, Succumbs; Rites Sunday

Mrs. Muriel N. Eagles, 74, of Winnfield, died at 11:50 p.m. Friday, October
30, 1970 in a hospital here.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Winnfield.

She is survived by her husband, Ray P. Eagles; three daughters, Mrs. Rabie
Reid and Mrs. Peggy Wood, Winnfield, and Mrs. Guinevere Allen, Joyce; one
brother, W. P. Newman, Minden; one sister, Mrs. Alma Garris, Minden; four
grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Hixson Brothers Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. W. R. Gage officiating.  Burial was in Garden of Memories
Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Douglas Berlin, Max Allen, Woodrow Gough, Earl Applewhite,
Jack Gaar, and Puckett Willis.
