Earle, Jr. Services for Hal Cecil Earle, Jr., of Shreveport, La., were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 12, at Wellman Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Ray Woodard, pastor of West Lake Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was in Forest Park West Cemetery, Shreveport. Hal Earle, 60, died Monday, October 10, 1988, at his residence after a lengthy illness. Mr. Earle was a native of Winnfield, son of the late H. Cecil and Ruth Patton Earle who were long time residents on Elliott Street. Although he had been a resident of Shreveport since 1953, he spent frequent weekends at his Mulligan Inn camp on Saline Lake in Winn Parish. He was a conductor for the L & A Railroad, a veteran of World War II, and was of the Protestant religious affiliation. Survivors are his wife, Bobby Earle, Shreveport; two sons, John Hal Earle of Huntsville, Alabama and Hal Earle III of Shreveport; five daughters, Dewanna Jane Watkins of Huntsville, Alabama, Kay Ann Herman of Mobile, Alabama, Kimberly LaRue Howell of Shreveport, Karla Gwin Sartin and Darla Lynn Walker of Pineville, Louisiana; and 11 grandchildren.
