EASLEY DIES IN LOCAL CLINIC MONDAY MORNING Merchant of Goldonna is Buried at Friendship Cemetery R. E. Easley, 64 years of age, of Goldonna, La., died at a Winnfield clinic Monday morning at 9:40 after several days illness. Funeral services were held at the Friendship Baptist church, Bienville parish, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30, December 24, 1935. The Rev. J. W. Buckner of Saline, pastor of the Goldonna Baptist church was in charge and was assisted by Rev. B. C. Land, pastor Winnfield Baptist church, and Rev. John L. Dodge, pastor Jonesboro Baptist church. Interment was in the Friendship cemetery. Mr. Easley was a prominent resident of Natchitoches parish. He had been in the mercantile business at Goldonna for the past fifteen years and he and his family were active in civic and church affairs. He was a member of the Baptist church, and a former police juror of his parish. Surviving are: his widow, Mrs. Lula Harris Easley; three daughters and two sons, Mrs. J. B. Brown, Bastrop, Mrs. Tommy Cox, Jonesboro, Miss Roberta Easley, and Robert and Jack Easley of Goldonna; two brothers, one sister and his step-mother also survive. They are: Lewis Easley, Saline, La., G. E. Easley, Friendship, La.; Mrs. Mattie Loe, of Alexandria; and his step-mother, Mrs. Eliza Easley of Alexandria.
