Easley, Age 65, Of Goldonna Dies At Local Clinic Deceased Is Former Member Natchitoches Parish Police Jury R. E. Easley, age 65, and prominent merchant of Goldonna died at a local clinc here Monday morning at ten o'clock following a brief illness of only a few days. Mr. Easley was taken suddenly ill Thursday night and was brought to the clinic early Saturday morning. His condition grew worse and death claimed him Monday morning. Mr. Easley is a former member of the Natchitoches Parish Police Jury from his ward. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon by Rev. J. W. Buckner, pastor at Goldonna, assisted by Dr. B. C. Land of Winnfield and Rev. John L. Dodge of Jonesboro, after which interment was made in the Friendship Cemetery. The deceased is survived by his widow, three daughters, Mrs. J. B. Spear of Bastrop, Mrs. T. Cox of Jonesboro, Miss Roberta Easley, and two sons, Robert H. Easley and Jack Easley of Goldonna; two brothers, G. E. Easley of Friendship and Louis Easley, Saline; one sister, Mrs. J. B. Loe, Pineville, and step mother, Mrs. Eliza Easley of Pineville.
